Financial aid is available to graduate students and varies widely among graduate and professional school programs. With the exception of School of Medicine, School of Law, and School of Dental Medicine—all graduate programs should follow the steps below.
Completing Graduate Financial Aid:
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Prospective graduate students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA application when it becomes available each October 1st. Be sure to reapply each year.
- Accept/Decline/Reduce your financial aid award offer.
- Complete Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling .
- You may complete a Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan or a Private Education Loan if there are other costs in addition to tuition and fees. Remember to borrow only what is needed. Students are encouraged to complete these applications early to ensure appropriate processing time prior Balance Due Notification dates.
